I was hesitant to get these based on the price. However, it works as expected and easy to use. The one thing I wished I had bought at the same time was the security screws. Anyone who has a standard allen wrench can unscrew the whole thing. Be mindful of that while you are traveling and you leave it unattended. When you are at the resort, you will leave the top part of the brackets in your car.

Called in with excellent service to find out what Sportube I have.  Brackets arrived promptly.  Instructions were generally clear, and installation was straightforward.  Low profile on the system when installed on my Equinox - will clear my garage door with an inch to spare!  My main concerns are:  (1) Someone with a standard Allen wrench can easily remove the whole thing!  Other rooftop devices use a special Allen wrench so that standard Allen wrenches won't work.  An alternative would be to design the bracket so that the mount is UNDER the SporTube so one can't get to the screws when the SporTube is installed in the bracket.  (2) There are two supplied padlocks, one to lock the SporTube into the bracket and one to lock the SporTube closed.  It's great to have the two padlocks, but each one has a different key!  It should be straightforward to have two padlocks keyed alike.

Another option for Roof Top cargo carriers.   Better yet, one might be able to load up the roof top cargo carrier and add Sport tube #1 for additional gear to be carried on the rooftop.

The roof rack brackets for my Series ski SporTube  was my second purchase from Highland Trading Company. Unfortunately, the roof brackets would not work with my existing ski rack. There was simply not enough room on the roof rack to accommodate both units. Highland Trading Company agreed without hesitation to allow me to return the unused brackets, with a full refund of the purchase price, consistent with their 30-day return policy. They were very understanding when I called to inquire about the return, and helpful in arranging for a credit to my account.
